Production Classes for Grades 1-6

Production Classes (Grades 1-6)

Broadway Beginners and Broadway Juniors classes offer students of various ages the chance to explore and sharpen their singing, dancing and acting skills in a positive, nurturing environment. Students will begin learning choreography and music on the first day. They will then audition for the Artistic team and perform the dance and song they learned in class. Once the musical has been cast, a traditional rehearsal process begins and the students work with the director, musical director, and choreographer to build the production. At the end of the class, the students will perform on the HITS stage for their friends and families in two performances.

Summer 2017 - Broadway Beginners and Juniors Classes

Peter Pan JR

Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's enchanting play, Disney's Peter Pan JR. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up!

Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Neverland. Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook!  It’s Peter to the rescue when Wendy is taken captive by the dreaded captain, who has his own sinister plans in mind for our hero.

This summer, HITS is pleased to offer both two week sessions and one week sessions for our Broadway Beginners and Juniors.

ALICEJR LOGO 4C

Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature's most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures. Featuring updated songs from Disney's thrilling animated motion picture, Disney's Alice in Wonderland JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale.

The ever-curious Alice's journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!

Based on the 1951 film, "Alice in Wonderland" and the novels "The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll.
