HITS is committed to making our programs and classes available to all students, regardless of financial circumstances. To honor that commitment, HITS provides accessibility to performing arts education, by providing, on average, 75% of our financial applicants with full or partial scholarships.
“I want to thank HITS for the scholarships that I have received over the years. I would not have been able to attend if not for that (the scholarships). I have enjoyed attending all the classes and making new friends. I feel that over the last couple of years attending HITS has given me the courage to stand up before an audience or peers and speak up. I can express my opinions with confidence and not be afraid to speak out. I have learned to work with different groups of people. I have also learned patience and wait for my turn. I think memorizing scripts helps me with my reading and writing skills.
I struggled with ADHD for a long time. In the past it was hard for me to do any of these things. I feel I’ve come a long way with the help of the teachers and kids. I hope to continue my journey as a child involved with HITS. I believe that children who are involved in extracurricular activities, especially in the arts, are able to cope with more things in life.”
